Le Sirenuse was built in 1951 using the summer house of a noble Neapolitan family, the Marchese Sersale, who still own and manage the property. It overlooks the bay of Positano from all areas, including the suites and the bedrooms, except the standard ones. The restaurant of the hotel is particularly enchanting, not only for its spectacular sea view but because of the lemon trees in the dining room with actual lemons (in season), the bougainvillea that covers the white walls and most important, the kitchen with large crystal clear windows that let you see from the restaurant everything they are doing in there. Le Sirenuse after so many years of existence enjoys a very good reputation all over the world and especially among North Americans.
This is a place where at least two of every four guests are American. The hotel is booked solid from Easter to mid November.
